I have been photographing things for over three decades.

My photography has gone through many phases over the years, just as I have,

and I am very grateful to be able to share my work with you at this time.

​

A long-standing creative goal for me as photographer/artist

 has been to shoot  straight photographs (sans digital manipulation )

that look as though they have been through some such process.

After all, photographers were creating their own  special effects 

long before computers came along.

  My mission as photographer

is to encourage viewers to see

 beauty and aestheticism in the world around them,

particularly in unlikely subjects such as

things considered mundane, commonplace, or unsightly.

​

At my most recent exhibit (Beauty is Everywhere)

a woman was looking at a picture

 which I shot under an old viaduct in the middle of town.

She told me she drives by it every day

but  never noticed how beautiful it could be.

​

 I didn't need to make any sales that day.

The woman's comment was payment enough.

​
